| Moving once more to the right, we approach the
peninsula. So far all the pictures have been from the front lawn.
The plan calls for 3 dogwoods. Unfortunately, they're all pretty much sold out, so I substituted limbs from the sycamore. Did put in a pink, oriental dogwood to the right. Under it are the hostas I got from Valley of the Daylilies. To the left are some ferns. Will also add some Christmas ferns from Mississippi. Though the middle is a stone path. In the background is the yellow mound and the redbuds. |
|
| Here is the dogwood. It's a little hard to see due to the bright, cloudy sky in the background. The sycamore is in view on the right | |
| Here is a close-up of the flower. The flower is rather old, so in not the best shape. | |
| The plan called form tom-thumb cotoneasters. They're a little too dwarf for me, so settled for these, which are a little larger. These are under & to the right of the dogwood | |
| Looking back to the path, you can see the sycamore limb marking one of the dogwoods. The other stakes will be viburnums juddi. Some 1/2 price deciduous ferns are laid out under the dogwood-to-be; hostas are on this side of the path. The path will use limestone steps, and will be lowered into the ground. |
