| Looking back down the path, the birdbath is at the junction of three paths: The one we're walking on now, one to the right which will join the sitting area, and one to the left which will meander around the pond. | |
| Taking the left path, we pass the yellow mound. The plan called for gold-thread cypress. I opted for sunkist arborvitae instead, since they're a little cheaper & will look more like small trees. To the right of the mound, barely visible, is the hose that marks off the pond. In the pot is a forest pansy redbud. | |
| Further down the path & to the left is a standard redbud. The three pots in the foreground will be fothergilias. The one in the background will be a snowmound spirelia. All will be in a mound of earth, with the path threading between the two areas. | |
| Walking around the yellow mound, we can see the pond (the hose). The stake will be another yellow evergreen of some sort. The mound may work around it, depending on what I decide & how the pond digs out. | |
| Continuing down the path, the pond hose is just visible on the right side. There will be perennial flowers on both sides of the path. The bed in the back-right will contain daylilies. |
