Scrollsaw Logs -- Tips and Techniques for the Scroll Saw

On the following pages I'll describe the making of various projects, including tips, techniques (and mistakes :-)!)  I discuss each step, along with large thumbnail pictures.  If you need a closer look, click on the thumbnail and it will take you to the full-size picture.

I tried to get deep into the details and try to give insight on why I chose to do things the way I did.  This may be rather boring to some folks--I remember when I first started out and wished there where more pictures in the how-to articles.   I don't make any claims as to this being the best way.  I'm in no way a master craftsman and like to think I'm continuing to learn.  I try to keep safety in mind, but like all woodworking we are all responsible for our own actions--cut at your own risk! (insert standard legal disclaimer here).

At this time I've started a log on the Cottage Clock, a design by Wildwood Designs.  In the future I plan on logs on other projects, including puzzles and (if I can get my courage up) the Iowan Clock.
