Day two was quite different.  Instead of animal puzzles running away with the totals, it was more like previous shows: half animal puzzles, the rest divided by the bookmarks and butterfly magnets, with a few other items rounding out the totals. Revenue was roughly half the first day as well.

Not too bad.  Not as good as some in the past, but those included some big-ticket items (moderately expensive clocks), so can’t complain.  We’re ahead of were we where at Kettering last week, but we also had better weather and a longer day.  Folks were looking all the way to the end today.

This day falls into the “can’t complain” category.  Would have liked to have sold more (you always do), but we did decent I think. Traffic was steady, if light; we had a sale right as things opened up for the day, and one while we were battening everything down for the night.

This was a small, one-day show in a (for Ohio) small city. The local economy here is not great, but not as bad as Wilmington (the pottery/art show a few weeks ago). Despite the way craft shows have been going, we didn’t do too bad.  A little less than last year, but not significantly.

Finally downloaded the pictures out of the camera today, including the ones from the Centerville Americana festival.  I didn’t get too many, as the sun wasn’t right, and there was too many people milling about (that’s actually a good thing ).

Well, the rain held off until the late afternoon, so we actually had a rather good day at the show.  We did about 3 times last year, which is not a valid comparison since it rained the entire time then.

A lot’s been going on the past few days.  We just got back from Dayton Heritage Days at Carillon Park.  Yesterday we did the 2nd Street Market in Dayton.  Throw in a sick truck, and it’s been a little full.  Short summary: We’re breaking even on the shows, got a few orders.

Hot. Humid. No people. Pretty much sums it up for this spring’s version. I don’t personally have anything to compare, but others around who had done the show several years said the traffic was the lowest they had seen.  Economy, rain in the vicinity were some of the theories, but no one knew for sure.   [...]
