Today was a hummingbird day.  I took some of the cherry just purchased and cut out parts for a pair of Hummingbird Clocks.  They still need assembly, but the hard part (3-1/4 hours of cutting time) is done. At least of the mahogany ones–I still has a sassafras face part that needs a walnut trellis.  Anyway, I got the pendulums cut out this morning before church, and afterwards I put everything together.  One of the clocks has been BLO dipped and is waiting to cure; the other still needs a bath.

I finished cutting out the faces of the Hummingbird Trellis clock I mentioned yesterday.  Thankfully, once the pieces are cut out, separated and the pattern removed, they flatten out nicely.  A few passes through the drum sander and they’re finished.
